EH LAB LOGO SDSU

My design work was chosen out of a group of designers to be used as the logo and branding for the Environmental Humanities Lab at SDSU. The goal of the logo was to represent the three key words of the lab which are community, social justice, and environment. The circle and leaf shapes signify humans which connects to the layers of the earth shown by the three horizontal lines. The overall feel of the logo is organic, as portrayed by the hand-drawn lines and light earthy colors. To connect it to SDSU, the shape of the logo is similar to the shape of the arches found in the iconic architecture of Hepner Hall on campus.
